This roles present as an outstanding opportunity to head up and drive one of the highest profile categories within the business. 
The role:
Reporting to the National Merchandise Manager, you will work strategically to develop merchandise programs that continually enhance your category's value proposition, further creating the strategic framework that will ensure an ongoing competitive offer. Developing ranges, housebrand strategies, promotions, pricing and merchandise strategies will naturally be a key focus, as will developing new initiatives and implementing programs that continually enhance the value proposition, business planning and sales and profit growths.
Here's what its going to take:
  • You're a trader:  A successful Senior Buyer/Category Manager/Product Manager in your own right, you can spot a trend, negotiate a deal and manage your suppliers to ensure that your range reflects the best product at the best price - at all times.
  • You've got the right product background:  You understand the Automotive Tools & Air categories from your career history as a retail Category Manager/Buyer or from the Supplier sides in a Product Manager capacity.
  • You've got an innate knack for understanding your core range and range reviews: and you can passionately share your commercial insights.
  • You've prospered in an ever evolving, hands on, store driven environment where an influencing, not directive style has been paramount.
