What will you do in an average week?
  • Working at senior leadership and influential level, in this highly valued role, you will be fully empowered to lead, develop, drive and execute strategically the Merchandise Planning function to maximise sales and gross margin and to optimise inventory
  • This will see you leveraging, investing, leading and developing your sizeable and talented team of Planners and Analysts. Upskilling and building succession in your team will naturally need to be a key focus
  • Be pushing the boundaries of excellence by further introducing, developing and executing first class assortment and merchandise planning, inventory strategies and initiatives to the business, all with a focus on the end customer
  • Be taking a balanced focus on all aspects of planning, people development, operations and financial results
  • Be ensuring the actions are in place to deliver sales, income and inventory targets that will continue to positively impact store and category performance
  Here's what it will take:
  • Proven experience as a Head of Planning and/or GM Planning role within a high volume retail environment, where you have led a sizeable Planning team
  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking coupled with a real love for merchandise planning. You are they type to be always 'on top of the numbers'
  • You are at your best when you have a team you can lead, coach and develop to further heights. People aspire to work 'with' you...and 'for' you
  • Your style is to integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into decision making. You therefore will be able to bring strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex quantitative data and make sound commercial recommendations
