What you will do in an average week:
  • ‘Take the helm’ and deliver upon a business growth strategy by leading and facilitating the continual and rapid store network expansion plans through exceptional relationship management both internally and in the broader retail market
  • Lead your small team’s ability to strategically locate, source, identify, negotiate and execute leases for new sites as well as relocation sites and renewals of current leases
  • Oversee the entire franchise process and strategy from lead gathering to execution of franchise agreements to store opens and builds; ensuring that all new franchisees are aligned with the business goals and enhance the value of the national brand
  • Be providing input into the key markets strategic expansion plan and supporting the entire group to achieve its goals and objectives
  • Be continuously improving systems, processes and control measures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of your team.
Here's what it will take:
  • Similar experience: You ideally have held a similar network development role in a large retailer or have had a high level of exposure to this function from your senior retail operations background
  • You have the foundations and know how to get the best out of a retail brand & its sites: you understand the intricacies of store builds and renewals, site selection and leasing
  • Franchise Development: Although not essential, ideally you can articulate how you have grown a retail brand through franchise development
  • You build long term professional relationships:  You are a relationship builder who engenders trust and looks at the bigger picture, not just the 'quick sell’
  • You are empathetic: you listen, you take time to understand, and you care
  • Flexible and adaptable approach:  You embrace change and are constantly thinking how you can improve upon the way things are done
  • Engagement skills: You can gain ‘buy in' to initiatives and you can bring people along on the journey
