A rare opportunity has opened up within the Merchandise team for a Merchandise Assistant with the potential, capability and desire to become an exceptional Assistant Category Manager and Category Manager over time.
As a Merchandise Assistant, you will support your Category Manager acting as their 'right hand.' Consistently sharpening your skills, you will gain a broad understanding of the business and category in this fast paced role where no two days are the same! Key responsibilities include;
- Maintaining product and range price file, data integrity and updates to support the store and internal teams
- Preparation of sales reports and brand presentations
- Assisting with analysis of category performance
- Handling and troubleshooting store queries
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Stores, Supply Chain, Marketing and Space Planning teams
- Coordinating Vendor sample submissions
- Developing professional working relationships with vendors & administer contracts
- Providing general administrative support to the product team
- Making process improvement recommendations
- Demonstrated experience working in a support role within a retail buying environment
- Ambition coupled with a "can-do" attitude. You are someone who wants to develop your Buying and Category Management career with a company over the next few years
- High attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving skills
- The ability to work successfully within a fast paced retail head office
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills
