Here's what’s involved:
  • Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement an effective social media strategy spanning the organisation’s social channels to grow engagement, followership, positive sentiment and brand awareness.
  • As the social channel gatekeeper, you will monitor online content; listening, responding and engaging with the community of followers and customers in the most profound and effective ways.
  • You will develop, research and unearth relevant content, independently and/or using internal design and production resources.
  • You will schedule content in accordance with the strategic social plan.
  • You will develop and manage an Influencer program, ensuring that social engagement opportunities are created, maximised and appropriately communicated across platforms.
  • You will analyse social campaign effectiveness using relevant tools and insights (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
Here's what it will take:
  • A track record of success in growing social engagement for a reputable consumer brand. This likely means you have at least two years of experience.
  • Naturally, skills in creating, curating, producing and scheduling content/posts. Adobe design suite skills would be highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Evidence of a strategic mindset including understanding of your customer profile, audience, brand direction and vision, and a critical eye to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Top-notch written communications. Less than perfect spelling and grammar doesn’t see the social light of day when you’re in charge.
  • Inquisitive nature and research skills to monitor trends and opportunities across all social platforms.
  • Winning attitude. There’s no room for mediocrity here.
