Job Description

Your Prospective Employer:

Often the “brand of choice” in their core category, this customer centric retailer offers quality services and extensive ranges to its large network of customers and partners across the country. Playing an important role in today’s current situation, they have success vested in brand strength, market differentiation, service, in-store experience and people, which sees them go from strength to strength. With an incredibly supportive, vibrant and forward-thinking culture, this “employer of choice” embraces change, encourages balance and empowers people at every level. Buoyed by its level of success; they have attracted some of the market's best business minds and retail leaders across their channels. Now is your opportunity to be one, heading up Western Australia in a State Operations capacity. This could be your most career defining move.

What’s in this for you:
  • Play a key role in driving performance & excellence in this customer-centric retail business
  • Empowerment to lead a region to new levels of performance
  • Opportunity to be part of a down-to-earth, inclusive, values-based culture that encourages work-life balance.
  • A handsome salary package with many additional financial and non-financial benefits.
What you will do in an average week:
  • Deliver a performance-based strategy through exceptional engagement and relationship management of your store network and multi-site managers.
  • Work with your team cross-functionally to influence all areas of the organisation, ensuring the strategy is aligned to all aspects of your operational reality.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader operational teams to oversee the execution of multiple programs of work.
  • Consistently improve current systems, processes and control measures to ensure the success of each and every business in your state.
Here’s what it will take:
  • Experience in a retail operational capacity such as Regional or State Manager (member based or franchise experience will be highly regarded, although not essential).
  • Leadership ability:  You are the leader who engages your team in the ‘right way’ to achieve great commercial results.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach:  You embrace change.
  • Strong business acumen:  You can manage a P&L and understand financial levers across operations, merchandise and inventory management.
  • Brilliant communication skills: You naturally translate the “vision” into day-to-day performance.
  • A coach and mentor to foster a culture of change throughout the state.
If this sounds like the opportunity that would bring out the best in you, your experience and your potential, please apply via the Apply button ASAP. I look forward to reviewing your application. Gabby Symons, Managing Director, People Equity.
