The role:
As the National Sales Manager, heading up the sales function of this primed Wholesale Distributor, you'll be the driving force behind the wholesale channel transformation and will play a key role in revolutionising how the business engages with their extensive reseller and distributor partners, both existing and new. This is a pivotal leadership position where strategic vision meets hands-on execution.
  
Your mission will be to:
  • Drive transformation excellence - Lead the evolution of sales and service operations, implementing highly effective strategies that optimise market share and channel profitability while embedding a customer-obsessed culture throughout the organisation
  • Architect sales success - Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that significantly strengthen customer engagement, expand share of wallet, and build long term highly commercial relationships with the reseller and distributor network
  • Champion people development - Foster a high-performance culture where teams are coached, motivated, and equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to consistently exceed expectations and drive continuous improvement
  • Master systems and insights - Leverage ERP/CRM technologies to capture, analyse, and act on sales and service data, ensuring every customer interaction is optimized for growth, satisfaction, and long-term partnership success
  • Lead change with confidence - Act as the change champion for new ways of working, managing transformation initiatives while maintaining alignment with broader business objectives and ensuring smooth implementation across all touchpoints  
What we're looking for:
  • The right leadership experience: You're a proven sales leader who along with your team, has successfully managed and grown market share of national wholesale or B2B distribution channels. You have therefore led and developed sales teams through transformation and have delivered measurable business outcomes that have driven growth and efficiency in sales processes and excellence in customer service delivery.
  • Channel expertise that matters: You understand the nuances of wholesale and distributor relationships. Experience in automotive aftermarket, industrial and/or trade environments would be valuable, but we're more interested in your ability to build and optimise profitable wholesale sales and partnerships and capitalise on market opportunities
  • The complete package: You're strategically minded yet hands-on, with an execution focus that turns vision into results. You simplify complexity, build consensus, and have a track record of implementing successful sales frameworks that stick.
  • Born to lead: Your leadership style inspires loyalty and drives performance. You're known for developing talent, building high-performing teams, and creating cultures where people love to work and that the channel always ‘want’ to buy from
