Your role:

The Pronto & Merchandise Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the merchandise team. Its a ‘front & centre’ hands on role, with one direct report. In this role you will:
  • Manage and maintain the Pronto price files, promotional data builds and master data within the systems
  • Work with the category and planning team to ensure all promotional activity, including the pricing and the replenishment parameters, are updated and/or loaded according to the agreed due dates (and to take the lead in co-ordinating this process) 
  • Identify pricing positions and provide recommendations for maximizing revenues
  • Analyse consumer trends, economic conditions, and competitor pricing
  • Collaborate with the team to define pricing structures for new and existing product lines
  • Perform margin and impact analysis related to proposed pricing change
  • Monitor revenue and profitability impacts of existing and new pricing
  • Manage and develop 1 direct report
Here’s what it will take:
  • It’s essential: You are a champion in PRONTO! This is an ABSOLUTE must!
  • You have the right experience: you have well developed skills in the management of  Pronto price files, promotional data builds and master data including the maintenance, continuour improvement and management of these within the system
  • You likely: have had exposure to a Retail environment that has a high volume/large SKU portfolio. Other backgrounds of relevance will be considered providing you are an expert in Pronto 
  • You enjoy taking a front and centre role, building on the function, by always thinking of ‘better ways to do things’ for greater efficiency, effectiveness and overall business results
  • You are strong analytically and you have well developed cross-functional engagement and influencing skills – when you speak, 'people listen.' 
  • You are known for your eye for detail and high level of accuracy and your focus on 'continual improvement'
  • You are passionate and self-driven, and you absolutely thrive taking ownership and working in a proactive/forward-thinking manner
  • You have a flexible and open-minded approach. i.e. you can flex to work with all levels and types
